I have always heard that mayonnaise is a good hair conditioner. I’ve even smeared Hellman’s on my head to test it out. Then I had to shampoo 3xs, to get the grease out. Leaving my hair drier and more damaged than before my conditioning experiment. A success story it wasn’t.
So, let’s just say, when I saw Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise for dry/damaged hair, I was a bit skeptical. But seeing as it got rave reviews online, I thought I’d give it a try.
This treatment uses whole egg proteins and olive oil to moisturize and strengthen damaged and over-processed hair and a blend of herbal extracts to nourish, essential oils to moisturize and organic amino acids to strengthen.
It doesn’t smell like mayonnaise (although I actually like the smell of mayonnaise and used to eat it out of the jar by the spoonful (TBSP) when I was little. Did I just admit that?)
Anyway, this actually smells like a nice smelling hair product. It does however look just like dijonnaise. (Thankfully, I wasn’t hungry and didn’t have any Tofurkey in the house at the time.)
I ignored the directions on the jar because they sounded painfully complicated. Instead, I followed the suggestion of a woman online. She said she warms the mayo in the microwave for 30 seconds, applies it to wet hair, dons a shower cap for an hour, then rinses.
Let me just say, I’m in desperate need of a haircut. My ends are so split that if I put my hair in a ponytail and cut that ponytail off, I think I could kick a cactus’ ass with it.
When I rinsed out the Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise and blew dried my hair, it felt amazing. It was super soft and silky, had nice volume and my split ends no longer felt like little ninja stars.
I’ve become somewhat addicted to this product and have been using it twice a week and have noticed a drastic improvement in dryness and split ends.
If you want to find out where you can buy it at the best price, feel free to use the "search the web" box to the right.

Thanks for sharing your horror story with us without flinching! I've got a very similar one involving eggs and beer my older sister convinced me to try.... ugly sight. Love this product, though!
