While wandering in Whole Foods one day, I applied a sample squirt of Evan Healy Rosehip Treatment Facial Oil (Blue) on my face, then went about my business. (I imagine "my business" had something to do with cheese.)
When I got home I looked in the mirror. My face was so even-toned, hydrated, radiant and smooth that it almost looked like I’d been airbrushed.
That’s right. I had somehow achieved the elusive Liz Taylor “White Diamond Effect”, without applying a tub of Vaseline to a camera lens.
Ms. Taylor, you could have at least blurred some of the other people, so it wasn’t so obvious.
Here are the ingredients (it's appropriate for all skin types, even sensitive) : Rosehip seed oil, lavender, blue chamomile, immortelle and carrot seed. No, I didn’t just get lazy and decided to stop typing. That’s the entire list of the ingredients.
Evan Healy believes, “The less you interfere with the skin’s own ability to achieve balance the better". “The skin is a living organism and it needs to be able to breath”.
She even goes so far as to recommend “not” using any products on your face at night, because that’s when the body is supposed to rest, repair and throw off metabolic wastes. What? Does she know she owns a skin care company and it’s bad for business to un-sell products?
Since she seemed so honest, I thought I’d give it a try. But, if I wake up looking like the old woman from the Titanic, I'm suing.
So, last night I applied my usual products to the left side of my face and absolutely nothing to the right side. When I awoke, the product side actually felt drier, looked less even-toned and less “rested” than the non-product side. My bare (usually dry) skin did its job splendidly. Releasing the perfect amount of oil to leave my skin hydrated, smooth, soft and dewy.
I have to admit I was shocked. Will you please try using no product on ½ your face one night and let me know what you think????
