Eve Pearl is the Doug Henning of makeup artists. She even says “makeup is like magic”. In fact, she’s so good at creating illusions, I half expect her to pull a rabbit out of someone’s ear while she’s doing their makeup.
I asked, at Sephora, which brands carried a salmon-colored concealer. Oddly, Benefit was the only one. So I tried Benefit Erase Paste #1 (the lightest one), because I apparently share some genes with Powder. (Did you see that movie? I loved it.)
Paste is a good way to describe this concealer. It’s heavy-duty enough to cover what looks like the aftermath of a car spinning its tires under my eyes.
After some experimenting, my application consisted of a solid line over my dark circles. Then a dotted line on top of that. (There were so many dots and dashes going on, you’d think I was trying to S.O.S. for help.) Then I blended. Applied foundation on top of that. Then powder to set.
Well, apparently, my S.O.S. worked, because when I was done, it really did brighten my eye area and cancel out my dark circles better than any other concealer I’ve ever tried. And unlike most others, this one stayed put the entire day. (Even though it's thick, it never got cake-y or filled in my fine lines.)
So, if you too are a victim of being punched in the eyes by God;), get yourself to Sephora and check out Benefit Erase Paste.

This is amazing. I never knew that this will help me lighten the dark circles under my eyes. Thanks for this post. I learned something new today.
