I just read a tip online that freaked me out. Only because I do the complete opposite of said tip, pretty much all day and chances are you do too. (Don’t you like how I drag you down with me?)
Anyway, I’m starting to get deep wrinkles/creases in my neck.
These neck creases are a dead give away to one's age. They’re kind of like the human version of tree rings, except we wear them right there, on the outside of our necks, for everyone to count.
But thankfully there's something we can do to prevent the creases and maybe even mitigate the ones we already have.
What we want to do is bring our computer screens up to eye level. As I sit here on my couch, typing this, I now have three throw pillows piled under my laptop. This has brought my computer screen closer to eye level and put my once frivolous throw pillows to good use.
If you work in an office, you can try putting books under your computer monitor to raise it to eye level. Or you can try lowering your chair. (Never mind. That one will probably just make you look like you have a Mini Me.)
Hopefully, you’re piling books under your computer monitor right now. While you're at it, you may want to put one on top of your head, just to double-check that your chin is level:)

I don't have anything to share really, but I wanted to let you know you are probably the most entertaining and funny beauty blogger out there! I love reading your site for a bit of a pick me up after a shitty day =]

Pik,
Thank you so, so much. You have no idea how much that means to me. You just made my day (and maybe even my month:)
Thanks again!

No one will see me like this anyways...
Thanks for the tip. Only 18 but it's never too early to start preventing wrinkles and neck creases (I think I have some already).

I don't really know any tips about keeping your neck looking young. . .except maybe not to forget to apply sunscreen there?
The best anti-aging tip I have is to apply some anti-wrinkle cream to your lips - this will help keep them smooth and plump.

Yeah Sandi,
I wish I started thinking about preventing wrinkles when I was 18, instead of laying in my backyard in the sun covered in baby oil. Boy, do I regret that now.

I'm in my mid twenties and I haven't been out in daylight without sunblock since 2003! Also, any retinoid (Retin A/Differin) that lands on my face gets applied on the neck too, albeit lightly. Sadly anything remotely moisturizing instantly breaks me out.

You were so smart to start with sunscreen early. Bet your skin is going to look so young when you're older.

I read in last months "Lucky" mag, that Isoprofil Alcohol (sp?) works to clear up any thing that happens in the neck area. I know it sounds counter productive, the derms are saying the alky is no good for skin, but she claimed that it cleared up her neck. My neck gets a dry unsightly rash if any acne medication or astringent happens to grace it's dellicate area. And others have complained that moisturizers also lead to the road to ruin....so maybe this is the safe compromise?
Anyway my 18 yr old hands are holding my iPod touch at eye level so I can preserve my 18 yr old neck thanks!

Hey Ashbox, I'll have to track down that Lucky article. Thanks! Your comment about holding your ipod to eye level cracked me up. I'm sure you'll be glad you did when you're older. Just be careful walking down stairs, I think it's OK to look down then:)

Not only is that good for preventing neck wrinkles, but we often suggest to patients who work with computers that they vary the height of their chair every hour to prevent painful neck strain and cervical spine degeneration.

Hey Lee,
Thanks so much for that info. That's great to know because every time I sit at an office computer my neck and shoulders kill me.
Thanks!
