A friend of mine was nice enough to give me a sample she received of Arcona's “The Eyes Have It” PM regenerating eye serum.
I like the fact that it’s all-natural. No parabans or ingredients, that look like they’ve been typed by my cat’s ass, while she sits on the keyboard.
Arcona claims this serum leaves the eye area firmer, brighter and younger-looking. That it reduces fine lines and wrinkles, increases elasticity and hydrates. I concur. The second I dabbed it on my dark circles, the area looked brighter, lighter, and had a reflective quality (which I think was the retinol).
I then applied it around my eyes. Upon contact, the fine lines diminished. I put some on my eyelids, (which they specifically said not to do). They immediately looked and felt firmer and less like shriveled grapes, that I’d found in the back of my fridge.
Right below my bottom lashes, has some swollen pouchiness. Just a little, it’s not like I could shove a baby kangaroo in there or anything.
OMG. Puffy eyes, dark circles, brow cleavage, marionette lines, wrinkly eyelids, freckles gone wild, dry hair- I can only imagine what the readers of this blog think I look like.
Those Rembrandt Whitening Strips really didn't have the effect I was hoping for.
When I looked in the mirror the next morning, I was still impressed with the results.
Unfortunately, the directions say to “use once or twice a week”, which is taking every ounce of restraint I can muster.
I was using the sample so sparingly, because I thought it’d cost $80 or $90 to replace. Turns out it costs $32. Excuse me, I have to go apply ice cream scoopers full of the stuff to my eyes now.
I keep reading the name as Anaconda, which is the only thing keeping me from using it more than twice a week.

I'm sold! Have to try it out! But I need first to try a sample as well... afraid I may be allergic..
Your comparisons and choice of photos are as always great! Had a good laugh!

Being a college student it's hard to afford such expensive products, although I absolutely love a number of them. However, here I have a less expensive solution. Burt's Bees Beeswax Moisturizing Creme. I have combination skin and the area around my eyes tends to be pretty dry so I use this on occasion and it perks my skin right up.
While I can't make any promises about wrinkles, it's certainly an option for intense moisture. It can be a little bit greasy so I only use it at night.
Also I absolutely worship Aveeno's line of moisturizers and creams as another less expensive option and they soak in without being greasy very well.
Also, I feel you should know I look forward to your new posts every day; always insightful, funny writing and I've definitely discovered some useful information.

Hey BeautyTalk,
I find companies are good lately with free samples. Maybe it's the economy. They realize people need to try stuff out before slapping down their hard earned cash. If you try it, let me know what you think.
thanks

I don't think I've heard of Arcona before, but I'll definitely keep a look out for this product now. If I can get my mitts on a sample, I'll give it a go.

whyyyyyyyyyyy do they say it should only be used once or twice a week? is it a good enuf reason to listen ;-)

Hey Debbie, The way I figure it, if they said to use it once daily, they'd make a lot more money because people would go through the product faster. So the fact that they're going out of their way to to say not to use it more often has me thinking, it really would be detrimental to do so. But I don't know for sure. Jenny

If you can see the positive results right away like that, I will have to try it! It's also nice that it's affordable. I like your pic ;-)
